I chose to relocate to Morgantown nearly two decades ago, and in doing so, I found the place I call home. My daughters were born here, and have attended Monongalia County Schools. My eldest will graduate this year and will be attending WVU, while my younger daughter will be following her sister to University High School in the fall.
I made my home here because I believe in the opportunity West Virginia represents, that we can be close to our friends and neighbors, and live a full life alongside some of the most beautiful places in the country. I’m happy to be here and happy to be raising my children here.
I grew up in New Jersey, where my father owned an appliance repair business and a laundromat, and my mother was a nurse. I saw how hard they both worked to make a good life for my two brothers and I, and knew that if I worked hard I could do something similar for my family. I attended Rutgers University, graduating in 1988 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. A few years later I was drawn into computer graphics, and worked as a designer before eventually settling on a career in software development. I now work from home for a member association in Arlington, VA that supports and represents United States service men and women, specifically those in the Air Force and Space Force. As their software developer, I’m exceptionally proud to be a part of this organization and the amazing work that they do for members of the military and their families.

Outside of work, I’m a constant tinkerer. Whether it’s my 75-year-old house that is in constant need of repair, or one of the old Cub Cadet garden tractors I like to play with, I love to take things apart, and see if I can put them back better than they came to me.
Which leads me to why I’m running for office. West Virginia is firmly in Republican hands, and has been for some time. The supermajority in Charleston is not making things better for the average mountaineer, and that needs to change. We need both parties involved, we need moderate voices from both parties working together to improve the state we call home. I’ve never run for office before, but I see a broken system, and I think I can help put it right. I want to help make a difference in West Virginia, and I want to do that for everyone in District 78, and everyone in West Virginia as well.
